How did the name IINDACO originate?

IINDACO is that shade of the evening that is about to become night. The "blue hour" when the shadows disappear and the sun sets. It’s the moment in which the two of us have always met, Domitilla would live at night while Pamela is a morning person, the blue hour is therefore that moment that we have in common, but not only us, all women: it is the hour in which we leave work behind and become friends, mothers, classmates, daughters.

How did you come to create the brand together?

We met in 2014 when we were both working for Roberto Cavalli. Then over the years we developed the same need: to work for something that reflected our ethics and aesthetics. Sharing the same principles we decided to create IINDACO.

What’s it like working with a friend every day, and how do your roles complement each others? 

We are two opposites that attract each other, our roles combine fluidly responding to each other's needs. The positive part of working with a friend is getting to know each other deeply. Because of the solidity of the relationship there are always limited confrontations. In short - like two sisters when they quarrel - we are both aware of the value of the other and for this reason we esteem and respect each other very much.

How would you describe the IINDACO woman?

IINDACO is aimed at ambitious women who pay attention to details and craftsmanship, aware that they are buying something that is more than a product; it is an idea, or rather, a lifestyle. Current women, with roots in tradition and a spirit of innovation.

There’s a heavy 90s influence throughout your collections – what do you love about this era?

The 90s are the years in which we grew up. Those were the years when, for us, what we do now was just a dream, an ambition. We leafed through the magazines dreaming of one day being part of them or seeing our creations parading on the catwalks. The 90s are the decade that reminds us of our passion and attachment to our work.

Tell us about the sustainability of your brand.

For IINDACO, new luxury is responsibility. The future must be part of our daily lives starting from small gestures to the most important choices. This is why IINDACO is committed to creating 360-degree sustainable collections: from the design to the realization, from the materials to the distribution.

What inspired the FW21 collection?

We were inspired above all by ourselves, searching for our dream bootie, our pump for special occasions and the sandal that would give character to every outfit.

What’s on your mood board for next season?

Chaos: it's ironic but to achieve the "balanced balance of contrasts" that define our aesthetic, we always have to start from the absolute imbalance and then slowly skim the images until we get the perfect result for both of us.
