Guerlain's perfumers have reimagined the iconic amber scent of Habit Rouge, drawing inspiration from the world of spirits. By capturing the essence and bold aesthetic of this realm, they've crafted a fragrance using highly concentrated ingredients for unmatched allure.
As the inaugural amber fragrance for men, Habit Rouge was inspired by equestrianism, beloved by its creator, Jean-Paul Guerlain. Released in 1965, its woody, spicy aroma, infused with round vanilla, epitomized French elegance. Habit Rouge Le Parfum draws from bourbon's boldness, opening with a rum accord and Guerlain's unique vanilla tincture, lending it unrivaled depth alongside patchouli.
Perfumer Delphine Jelk notes, "For Habit Rouge Le Parfum, I created a leathery vanilla liqueur with plenty of bold bourbon-inspired intensity."
